Baccio de Montelupo

After Castello Bisticci (my castle in the sky and isolated, whimsical and quiet lifestyle), moving to Baccio de Montelupo in Firenze has been a huge cultural shock.

Yesterday after I awoke I sat on my little bed in my simply furnished room, and wondered... what am I doing here? It is a really unsettling period. I feel alone, unsure of myself and overwhelmed by this big city.. How am I ever going to find a job, make some friends, and find a place I can afford and which I can call my home. I have such dreams.. so many, many dreams.

I came to Italy because I wanted to experience what it was like to live in the country and to discover with my own senses its: culture, people, traditions and lifestyle. Its an experience I've always dreamt of. I choose Italy, because it is a part of my heritage, my upbringing and who I am. I want to discover what part of my heart (if any) is here, but today I feel afraid and doubt if I can do it.
