The moment I got back to Sydney and back to my 'old life', I knew that something significant had changed in me. Something was missing. But had I lost something, or had I found something? Now I know this something was, in fact, my heart. It seemed to have left a gaping hole. Or perhaps this hole had been present for some time but I had only just noticed. It was all very confusing, yet utterly apparent. Above all, I was sure of one thing: at some point in my life, my heart had wandered off, as though it had grown a set of wings and flown right out of the window.
... and it was time to follow it.
