Hope & happiness

By the time I had left the office tonight and was wandering to my car under the vague light of the moon, I realised that it was late and long past the departure of my students from their late shift. Yet despite all this I felt calm and appreciative that for now, I just have one committment to focus on. Which means that I can venture towards the weekend or evening as a time for relaxation, enjoyment and rest; and not be tormented by fatigue, guilt and the persistent desire to address objectives that were not completed during the week.

Its nice to just be. Even if it is only for a short time.

Someone recently said.. 'Happiness is ephermal and often difficult to remember'. I hope that I remember this quiet contentment when the next wave of work and study committments swells.

Soon I will be commencing a new clinical appointment and my Masters studies. An inspiring, exciting and defining time...
